The concept of co-working space can be traced back to the 2000s. These spaces were initially catered to the needs of freelancers and entrepreneurs, who were seeking alternatives to traditional work settings like coffee shops, home offices, or business centers. Coworking, however, soon gained widespread popularity. Such spaces have since evolved to adapt to the changing dynamics of the modern work landscape. 

As of today, co-working spaces have become a global phenomenon. It is projected that the number of coworking spaces worldwide will reach over 40,000 in the next year. Especially in light of the increasing availability of flexible remote working options, it is not surprising that these spaces would continue to grow and evolve.
